Dialysis Technician

CCHT

A federal 18-month certification clock, built in.

Federal rules (42 CFR §494) require patient-care dialysis technicians to be certified within 18 months of hire, after an RN-directed training program and supervised clinical experience. That mandatory countdown plus a skills checklist and RN sign-off make it a natural, if specialized, vertical.

Why the demand: Rising rates of diabetes and chronic kidney disease driving dialysis-chain expansion. No single BLS category — federally regulated under 42 CFR §494.

On the platform

How AscendantCare runs CCHT.

This isn't a new build — it's the CNA compliance backbone, configured. The same ledgers, the same sign-off, the same inspection-grade records.

  • 1

    Federal 18-month clock

The certify-within-18-months mandate becomes a built-in compliance countdown per technician.

  • 2

    RN-directed sign-off

Supervised clinical experience and RN sign-off run on the existing preceptor rails.

  • 3

    Recert tracking

The 3-year recertification cycle (3,000 work hours + 30 CE) is tracked automatically.

The competitive edge

A federally-mandated compliance clock that dialysis chains must hit — and that no generic LMS tracks.
